GlyCORE CCBRC

Welcome to the

GlyCORE Computational Chemistry and Bioinformatics Research CORE (CCBRC)

of the

Glycoscience Center of Research Excellence (GlyCORE)

at the

University of Mississippi

Dr. Doerksen directs the NIH-funded Computational Chemistry and Bioinformatics Research Core (CCBRC), which provides computations, resources and training of many kinds to support research on multiple glycoscience topics, including for modeling of glycoprotein structure, dynamics, and interactions; modeling of carbohydrates and natural-product sugar-containing molecules; and lectin-carbohydrate interactions.

Hands-on Computational Glycoscience Workshop, January 28-29, 2021

Brochure: The Computational Chemistry and Bioinformatics Core (CCBRC) of GlyCORE is pleased to announce a Hands-on Computational Glycoscience Workshop on Jan 28-29, 2021. This two day workshop is intended to give beginners an introduction to Linux and hands on molecular modeling of protein-glycan interactions through computations. Attendees will leave with a working knowledge of docking glycans, performing MD simulation of glycoproteins and protein-glycan complexes using CCBRC workstations.

Due to COVID-19, this workshop will be remote, using Zoom. You can find all the details in the attached flyer. No registration fee, but registration is required at the following link: https://forms.gle/ZdwL9Twp6LEZaeR86. Address any questions to Dr. Sushil Mishra at skmishra@olemiss.edu.

Founded in 1848, the University of Mississippi (UM) is included in the elite group of R-1: Doctoral Universities – Highest Research Activity by the Carnegie Classification. UM is consistently named by The Chronicle of Higher Education as a “Great College to Work for,” and is located in Oxford, MS, which is ranked one of the “Top 10 Best College Towns,” in the rolling hills of north Mississippi 70 miles south of Memphis, Tennessee. Oxford has small town charm and has been featured as a literary and arts destination in such publications as The New York Times and GQ.
